With grayte joy, the commoners have been permitted to hold a grand village fete by Mistress Alice Springe, widow of Master Thomas Springe the richest man in Suffolk. Pay a visit to the Barber Surgeon or the Cunning Man if aught ails thee. See the Man at Arms to be fitted for armour. Make clay charms and lavender balls. Challenge the gamester’s wyfe to divers games. See the sottler prepare food, and join the gentle folke as they enjoy the entertainments.
