For 500 years, the Royal College of Physicians (RCP) has given a professional voice to doctors. Today, its Grade I listed headquarters in Regent’s Park is the centre of a worldwide medical community. Join us to discover how Denys Lasdun’s brutalist masterpiece was designed as a space where the past, present and future of medicine and society could intersect, with cutting-edge lecture theatres, meeting rooms and amenities communicating healthcare to the wider public. Through a special guided tour and unique archival display, learn how the RCP’s current headquarters combines a public museum, conferences and events with centuries of history and ceremony. Balancing the needs of a historic building with the requirements of its variety of users today and in future is a challenging exercise and we are constantly working to evolve.
