Trio Paradis Café Concert: A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Entrance by donation St Thomas’ Church, St Thomas Street, Wells BA5 2UZ Trio Paradis (Jacquelyn Bevan - piano, Ruth O’Shea - violin & Linda Stocks - cello) play a Café Concert at St Thomas’ Church, Wells on the first Monday of each month at 11am: informal music events with a pop-up café from 10.30 where you can meet friends and make new ones over tea/coffee and home-made cakes. The music for May's concert is inspired by summer and dreams, and includes an arrangement of Dream Children by Elgar, ‘Jacob’s Dream’, the second movement of Trio Hob XV:31 in Eb by Haydn, and music by Mendelssohn, Lili Boulanger, Turina and Rachmaninov. Concerts last c45m and entrance - or rather, exit! - is by donation, with a retiring collection. An RVSP via www.trioparadis.com is much appreciated but not essential.
