Shadows of Colonisation: Nottingham Collage Photography Exhibition

The Opening Night will commence on the 6th of June from 6pm - 9pm. The exhibition will then continue until 5pm on the 14th of June.

Surface welcomes Shadows of Colonisation, an exhibition by Nottingham College photography students. Shadows of Colonisation invites you to reflect upon themes of power, identity, and memory through the lens of colonisation, and its related social and historical themes. The exhibition explores colonisation from a range of perspectives in different photographic styles, including portraits, still lifes, and architectural photography, to present colonialism in a visually striking and thought-provoking way. Shadow of Colonisation opens in the Project Space in conjunction with Encounters in the Main Gallery. As always, there will be a donations bar with ales from local brewery, Pheasantry...
