Are you creative, enjoy making things and want to learn about stem cells and stem cell research in a fun way? Come to this FREE workshop where you’ll speak with stem cell scientists and be taught how to embroider stem cell images captured in their cutting-edge research. Grab a drink and relax whilst discovering what stem cells are and how they are being applied in research and future therapies and then move on to embroidering real research images. Stitch ‘n Stem is an interactive embroidery workshop that connects the public with cutting-edge stem cell research from the Centre for Gene Therapy & Regenerative Medicine (CGTRM) at King’s College London (KCL). Scientific images from researchers at the CGTRM have been transformed into stunning embroidery templates, allowing you to create your own unique piece of science-inspired art while speaking to scientists about their research.
