The talk covers the time when London was an interconnection of villages, when roads were in their infancy - of course, Dick Turpin is discussed, but so are others worthy of note. Learn about how these guys manipulated the press of the day and behaved at the time of their executions. Part of a series of ‘Talks’ being conducted in pubs across London about the cultural history of the city. Costume obligatory, but strongly advised.
