Renowned British concert pianist, JP Ekins, will perform an outstanding selection of much-loved piano works, including Beethoven's masterpiece, The Moonlight Sonata. Featuring JP Ekins(piano) Programme Chopin – Nocturne in C-sharp minor No.20 (op. Posth) Tchaikovsky – Lullaby, Op. 16 No. 1 (Tchaikovsky, arr. Rachmaninoff) Liszt – Ballade No. 2, S.171 Debussy – Clair de Lune, from Suite Bergamasque No. 3 Beethoven – Moonlight Sonata, Op. 27 No. 2 John Paul Ekins was born in London and began playing the piano at the age of five, many years later graduating from the Royal College of Music and as a scholar at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with first class degrees, where he studied with John Barstow and Charles Owen respectively.
