Come join us for a soul-stirring performance by the Bellevue First & University Congregational Church Choir at the beautiful St Helen's Church Stonegate. Get ready to be moved by their harmonious voices and uplifting melodies. The programme includes songs by Elaine Hagenberg, James MacMillan, Shawn Kichner, Michael Sederquist and Eliza Gilkyson. The performers are a joint ensemble combining the choirs of University Congregational UCC in Seattle and Bellevue First Congregational Church. The mixed-voice Chancel Choir of the Bellevue First Congregational Church performs a wide array of music, classical and contemporary. It has performed major concert works with other choirs in the Seattle area, including the Fauré Requiem, the Duruflé Requiem, the Street Requiem, and Considering Matthew Shepard: A Choral Suite. The choir has toured internationally in Europe, South America, Africa, and New Zealand. The Chancel Choir is non auditioned and open to singers of all voice parts regardless of experience. For the individual musician, the language of music is often as powerful as the word.
