Showcasing exceptional talent from leading UK and international pianists, each recital offers a unique perspective on some of the most profound and beloved works in the piano repertoire. Set against the magnificent backdrop of St Giles’ Cathedral — illuminated by candlelight and enhanced by a newly installed Steinway grand piano — these concerts promise an unforgettable musical experience at the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile. Featuring Robin Green (piano) Programme Faure - Nocturnes No. 1-5 Christian Elliott - 'Qu-ontre-cinq' Beethoven - Piano Sonata No 32. in C minor, op 111 Award winning British pianist Robin Green enjoys a busy career as a performer and pedagogue. A regular at major festivals and concert halls, he performs a wide solo and chamber music repertoire from the Renaissance to ambitious contemporary repertoire including ‘Lieux Retrouvés’ by Thomas Adès, Ligeti’s Horn trio, Mantra by Stockhausen and Rzewski’s ‘The People United Will Never Be Defeated!’ His discography includes works by Bach, Mozart, Schumann, Schubert, Kurtág, Huw Watkins and Helen Grime.
