Saturday 23rd August from 11am to 3pm Silversprings Care Home, Tenpenny Hill, Thorrington, Colchester CO7 8JG A care home in Colchester is opening its doors to the local community for a summer party to remember. On Saturday 23rd August from 11am to 3pm, Care UK’s Silversprings, on Tenpenny Hill, is inviting people to celebrate summer in style with a fun-filled afternoon of games, music and food. Guests can look forward to relaxing in the home's garden while browsing stalls featuring handmade items, alongside games including Splat the Rat, Hook a Duck, Tombola, Tin Can Alley. Additionally, there will be live music performed by Tony, the piano man, who will play a range of music for ages. Guests will have the opportunity to enter a raffle with prizes such as a year’s membership to Beth Chatto Gardens, massage and hairdressing vouchers, champagne and more, and can also enjoy a delicious barbecue prepared by the home's talented chef, Paul. Joanne Rix, Home Manager at Silversprings, said: “We’re so excited to be welcoming everyone to our summer party! Community connections mean a lot to us here at Silversprings, and what better way to bring everyone together than with a celebration? “The residents have been sharing stories about their favourite summer holidays.
