Take on an unforgettable cycling challenge with the Lee Valley Half Century. Ride through the stunning landscapes of Epping Forest and the Lee Valley while supporting Haven House Children’s Hospice. Whether you’re an experienced rider or a casual cyclist looking to push your limits, this event is for you. Choose your challenge 40km A thrilling ride for dedicated cyclists 50km For seasoned riders ready for more forest trails *Route distances are approximate. This is not a closed-road event. This route uses gravel paths through Epping Forest and Lee Valley. Paths may be bumpy and/or muddy in some places. All participants must be 18 or over on event day. Don't have the right bike for forest paths? Go Further Cycling cycle hire is located right next to the start line. Find out more gofurthercycling.co.uk/. The Route Epping Forest Section Start at Chingford Plain. Ride through forest trails with scenic woodland views. 40km leaves the forest paths around Long Hills, 50km carries on to Jack's Hill, loops back down to High Beech. Both routes exit the forest at Whitehouse Plain. Lee Valley Section Circle Gunpowder Park and head south along the reservoirs. Ride along the River Lee towpath, which is mostly flat and scenic. Take in the views of the Walthamstow Wetlands, Hackney Marshes and Wanstead Flats. Map of both routes coming soon.
