His music is steeped in the history and landscape of our beautiful Langstone Harbour area, bringing local stories and places vividly to life through song. Alongside his own work, Simon breathes new life into traditional folk songs – some passed down through generations in Hampshire, others gathered from across the British Isles. Never one to stand still, he also re-imagines more contemporary pieces, sometimes setting well-known lyrics to his own fresh and original tunes. Described as “a smorgasbord of folk with a dash of humour”, Simon’s performances are warm, witty, and full of character.
