Heritage Open Day: Visit the Quaker Meeting House, Grade 2 Listed and completed in 1706, with the adjoining burial ground and Peace Garden, on land donated by Robert Heath who lived at the dwelling house (now privately owned), when he emigrated to Pennsylvania, 1700. In the Quaker Meeting House there will be an exhibition of the history of the Quaker Movement, with particular reference to local Quakers. Also, details of the building itself and the burial ground, on land given to local Quakers when the owner of the adjoining house, Robert Heath, emigrated to Pennsylvania in 1700. Relax in the peaceful garden, before making your way across the road to Redfern's Cottage Museum of Uttoxeter Life, with which we have links, where you can enjoy a visit and find refreshments.
