Royal Marines Heritage Walk

Captain's Garden, Deal Castle, Victoria Road, Deal CT14 7BA Heritage Open Day: A guided walk marking the long association of the Royal Marines with the area and the establishment of a heritage trail devoted to that history. The Royal Marines had a base in Deal from 1665 to 1996, their presence had a lasting effect on the town and this walk will tell you about that history. This walk will take in many historic buildings which have been sympathetically converted to residences and also some locations where there is no longer any sign of the history.
