Heritage Open Day: A lovingly renovated Jacobean manor house, gardens and newly opened library in the old Tithe barn, now being used for theological education and retreat space. Built in 1611 by Sir Thomas Spencer, Yarnton Manor is an impressive Grade II Manor house estate complete with formal gardens, an orchard and a Tithe Barn library. It has been many things to many people over the years including a private residence for the Spencer-Churchill family, a Civil War hospital, wedding venue and Jewish and Hebrew study centre. Since 2021 it has been owned by the Lanier Foundation who have painstakingly renovated the building ready for its next lease of life.
