Heritage Open Day: Dove Marine Laboratory is a research facility of the School of Natural and Environmental Sciences, Newcastle University. For over 100 years it has accommodated research on the marine environment, student education and community engagement. Visitors can talk to marine science experts, and students studying marine biology degrees, about their role in the university and life as a scientist. We will have information on our current research, our degrees, and local marine life will be displayed in the aquarium. This Victorian building is full of history, and has been at the heart of the local community for over 100 years...
