For visitors interested in the more recent past there is information about innovative musician Joe Meek, born in Newent. N E W E N T M A R K E T H O U S E HERITAGE DISPLAYS AND ARTEFACTS Usually only open Saturday afternoons from Easter to the end of September, we’ll be welcoming visitors every afternoon during the Heritage Open Days, between 1330 and 1600. NOTE: access is by a flight of stairs only.
