St John the Evangelist, Clareville Road, Caterham CR3 6LA Heritage Open Day: Displays from church and local community groups including activities & craft. Musical Entertainment on Saturday morning and afternoon. Refreshments available St John's Church has beautiful stained glass windows & and historic font. The Memorial Chapel shows the names of the locals killed during the 2 World Wars. The organ was built in 1883 by J W Walker & Sons of London, one of the finest of all Victorian organ builders. It was dedicated on St. James's Day, 25th July, 1883. It is of considerable historic interest. The Westway Singers are performing on Saturday from 11am to 12 noon. Free Spirit will entertain us in the afternoon. Open Tower tours are happening during opening hours. East Surrey Museum and The Bourne Society will have displays relating to the theme Study the architecture of the church and complete the Quiz.
