Heritage Open Day: St Peter’s was consecrated in June 1905 by the Bishop of Birmingham, the Rt Revd Charles Gore, only 2 weeks after the Diocese of Birmingham had been formed. Drop in and see the church at your leisure Take a step inside St Peter’s church and enjoy the stunning arts and crafts interior, vibrantly decorated with stained glass windows by Sidney Harold Meteyard, a key member of the arts and crafts movement known as the ‘Birmingham Group’. Learn about our history, from the ‘Iron church’ to our beautiful building today with a curated display, or join in with one of our short guided tours. Enjoy a refreshment, take part in a free ‘Make and Take’ or sit back and enjoy the sounds of the Organ in all its glory. Whatever brings you through the doors, we look forward to welcoming you...
