Chapel Field Road, Norwich NR1 1SD Heritage Open Day: This church designed by Edward Boardman. the well known Norwich architect, was opened in 1881 to accomodate 1000 worshippers. The church retains its Victorian character, has a fine Norman Beard organ and is a listed building. In the late 1970s the the pulpit was lowered and access to the body of the church was created for the preacher and the choir. The vestibule at the back was altered and some pews removed. A suite of rooms and an assembly hall were built behind the church in 1954 for the Sunday School.
