Watch House, Spanish Battery, North Shields NE30 3DN Heritage Open Day: Visitors can wander around this iconic, hidden gem of a museum in the Watch House, volunteers will be on hand to answer any questions and expand on the history of the artefacts. The Watch House is a large blue and white building with two towers overlooking the mouth of the River Tyne. It is a Grade II listed building and houses the museum collection of artefacts and memorabilia from over 157 years of life saving on the NE coast.
