Look out for other events in the town on the same day. Holy Trinity Church Rothwell is a fascinating architectural time piece. Within its walls is evidence of its Saxon predecessor that survived until the arrival of the Great Danish Army. The Church was rebuilt in 1130 in a Norman style by the de Lacy family. It was typical of early medieval churches, having a weeping chancel and, in the later Middle Ages, aisles and chapels were added.
