Heritage Open Day: Bridges of Leeds tells the stories of our city’s waterways. Discover passwords and codes to unlock the history buried beneath our streets. A self-guided trail inspired by 'urban orienteering' running throughout Heritage Open Days. If you stop for long enough, you might notice the numbers, codes and words all around us. You’ll see them painted on road signs, cast into iron grates and chiselled into old stone, written into the very fabric of our world. What if they were passwords that could unlock the stories of our city? Inspired by the idea of ‘urban orienteering’, Bridges of Leeds is a self-guided trail running throughout Heritage Open Days.
