Heritage Open Day: Celebrating the people who have kept and continue to keep the wheels of Leicester's public transport services moving This special open day at Stoneygate Tram Depot will celebrate local people, from a wide range of ethnic groups, who have kept Leicester’s public transport services moving for over 150 years! We have a large photo archive of transport staff and many, sadly, are not identified. We will have many of these photos on display on Sunday 14 September and we would welcome any help from visitors in identifying those featured. You may even spot yourself! The Tram Depot has permanent display boards chronicling the story of public transport in Leicester. There will be a number of children friendly attractions as well...
