Sat 13 Sep:1030-1600; Free Entry. All Saints Church, The Tye, East Hanningfield, Chelmsford CM3 8XA Heritage Open Day: 2025 is the 140th anniversary of our church. Come and see the inside of our beautiful Grade II listed Victorian building, learn about its history and why it had to be completely rebuilt on a new site. We will be opening our church, which is usually locked apart from Sunday services. We will provide information about the history of the church and the previous church which it replaced. The church is Grade II listed and is considered by the Victorian Society as a very complete, and largely untouched example of its period. Refreshments will be available, as will children’s activities. Our churchyard, which contains 3 Commonwealth War Graves will also be open.
