Heritage Open Day: Heritage Open Days 2025 will provide an opportunity to learn about the heritage of Leeds Cathedral, with the help of our Cathedral Guides, and also to go behind the scenes and visit the Cathedral's bell tower. Leeds Cathedral (The Cathedral Church of St Anne) is the Mother Church of the Catholic Diocese of Leeds, established in 1878. The Cathedral is a Grade II* Listed Building completed in 1904 and designed in the Arts & Crafts style. It is one of 22 Catholic Cathedrals in England & Wales and widely recognised as an outstanding example of early 20th century church architecture. On each of the Heritage Open Days guides will be on hand to explain the Cathedral's heritage. On Saturday 13 September & Saturday 20 September there will also be an opportunity to visit the bell tower. On Wednesday 17 September there will be a demonstration of the Cathedral Organ, built in 1904 and restored in 2009...
