Heritage Open Day: Visitors are invited to come and explore one of The Potteries most important historic buildings with its internationally significant showcase of beautiful Minton tiles. The Church was built on the site of a former windmill and at the time would have been visible from most of the six towns. It was financed by Herbert Minton, owner of Minton & Co. based in Stoke. The total cost of the church, vicarage and an endowment of £81, was in the region of £10,000. It was designed by renowned architect George Gilbert Scott and consecrated in 1842. Minton floor and wall tiles are used extensively throughout this magical building with some very rare and early patterns.
