St Michael and All Angels' Church, Tonbridge Road, Maidstone ME16 8BS Heritage Open Day: Enjoy the Angel Windows and architecture of this Grade 2 listed Victorian church, have a cup of tea and some cake. There will be a children's activity and organ music and you may hear the bells. Founded by a group of determined Victorians, notably the redoubtable Mrs Scudamore, St Michael's maintains a tradition of worship rooted in the Oxford Movement, and its interior reflects this, though it has undergone some alteration over the years. The windows were planned as a cycle, reflecting the dedication of the church, and are at a height where their detail can be easily enjoyed!
