Leeds Kirkgate Market, with West Yorkshire Archive Service Leeds have uncovered some original architectural drawings of the Leeming brothers’ vision for the 1904 Hall of the market. Designed by John and Joseph Leeming, the market's design, including the domed roof, was inspired by Joseph Paxton's Crystal Palace in London. On the day there will be a display of the architectural drawings. We will also be highlighting our Points of Interest within the market and where you can locate them, which includes the location of an original Egg & Butter sign uncovered during refurbishments in 2016.
