There will be lots of fun and information for all ages about this beautiful John Douglas Grade II church and refreshments will be served. St John's is John Douglas's great legacy to Sandiway, he donated the land on which it stands and was a major contributor to building and furbishing costs. The very best materials and craftsmen were used throughout. Douglas was born in Sandiway and restored or built over 500 churches and buildings in the North West and beyond, including the famous Eastgate Clock in Chester and the many buildings on the Duke of Westminster's estate in Cheshire...
