Saxons, Mill and Beck Walk

St Cuthbert's Church, Church Road, Billingham TS23 1BW Heritage Open Day: A lovely circular walk around the Saxons, Mill and Beck in Billingham The walk will start with a quick look inside the Church at the Park map and Norton Saxon graveyard display before commencing out and downhill through the Churchyard into the Park through Flutter Carr and the Glebe - both ancient Church lands.  We will pass the trembling aspens - the crucifixion tree, Mill Batts, the site of Norton Mill and the old Mill Leat, then uphill to the Saxon graveyard site before returning with a quick walk around Smith Field, then around the Frognall wetland via the Council's new path, and on via the site of the Weir and back up to the Church...
