Brighton Road, Godalming GU7 1XA Heritage Open Day: This special little Victorian Gothic Revival church is a treasure trove of designs by the grand designers of the day. Designed by Sir George Gilbert Scott, it has a remarkable metal chancel screen by Edwin Lutyens, who also designed the WWI memorial and the Jekyll family memorial. There are lovely stained glass windows by Edward Burne-Jones for Morris & Co, and later ones by A K Nicholson. The cobbled paths may have been designed by Gertrude Jekyll, who was an active church member. The graveyard also has some interesting occupants.
