Heritage Open Day: Leeds Parish Church, as was, consecrated in 1841, was the largest new church built in England since St Paul’s Cathedral. Join our tour, learn about the building’s architecture and the motivation of those behind it & enjoy its magnificence. This tour will introduce you to the architecture of Leeds Minster, until 2012 known as Leeds Parish Church. You will learn about its relationship to the previous Medieval church, Dr Hook’s vision for its replacement and how the building has developed over the 184 years of its existence.
