Heritage Open Day: Come and explore Felixstowe Museum and the unique building it calls home completely free! Felixstowe Museum will be open for free to the public for Heritage Open Day 2025. As well as fourteen rooms of permanent and temporary exhibitions telling the story of Felixstowe, visitors are invited to explore the unique building the Museum calls home! Built in 1878, the building was part of the Submarine Mining Establishment at Landguard Fort, and may be the last surviving purpose built example in the country.
