Heritage Open Day: The Grade I listed Merchant's House that is Totnes Museum is 450 years old this year. During its lifetime, this building has had different uses and since 1961 it has been a Museum. Find out more about this story. The journey though the Museum will follow a series of new displays of artefacts chosen by volunteers. These items tell different stories - of the house, or of some of its inhabitants, or of life over the 450 years the building has been on this site. A photographic display will focus on the work of restoring the house in the 1960s and will draw attention to some historic features of this impressive building that you might otherwise miss...
