Down Memory Lane with MK Canals: At Great Linford Manor Park Heritage Celebration

Great Linford Manor Park, Great Linford, Milton Keynes MK14 5AS Heritage Open Day: There’ll be a canal history display and a drop in talk, and we’ll gather your memories about experiences of MK canals. Please bring photographs or newspaper cuttings if you have them.The all-electric MK Community Boat Electra will be present to view. At Great Linford we’ll focus on the general history of the four canals in the Milton Keynes area (the Grand Union, the Buckingham Arm, the Newport Pagnell Arm, and the planned Bedford & Milton Keynes Waterway), with a special mention of events at Great Linford. It’s a history of the ups and downs of canal life over seven generations.
