The Newsome Centre, Jackroyd Lane, Newsome, Huddersfield HD4 6QU Heritage Open Day: The building (formerly St. John the Evangelist Church, 1872) will be open to visitors on the 13th and 14th of September. Architect W H Crossland. This year Huddersfield & District Family History Society are exhibiting. Refreshments available. Newsome Centre will be open visitors - it is one of seventeen churches designed by William Henry Crossland. This year Huddersfield & District Family History Society have an exhibition based around their research on the Memorial Inscriptions in the graveyard and will be giving conducted tours.
