Grove Street Methodist Church, Union Street, Retford DN22 6LB Heritage Open Day: You are very welcome to Grove Street Methodist Church where you can take a look around this recently refurbished Grade II listed building which has many of its original features intact. Refreshments available. Grove Street Methodist Church was designed by Bellamy and Hardy, who were Lincolnshire architects specialising in public buildings and non-conformist chapels. This is the largest of their chapels still used as a place of worship. Bellamy and Hardy also designed Retford's Town Hall and the buildings were constructed by the same builder, Thomas Hopkinson, and have replica ceilings.
