Don't miss a Gala concert at The Bede House in Higham Ferrers churchyard on Saturday 4 October when 'The Wandering Minstrels' pay their second visit to this historic town venue to present 'THE WORLD OF GILBERT AND SULLIVAN'. They will sing, act and dance their way through eight of the lovely Savoy Operas including 'The Pirates of Penzance', 'The Yeomen of the Guard', 'Princess Ida', 'Iolanthe', 'The Mikado', 'Ruddigore', 'HMS Pinafore' and 'The Gondoliers'. Artistes taking part in this Gala concert are Alexandra Ferrari, Emma Stratton, Charles Mills, Stephen Godward and Tim Hurst-Brown, with Peter Hewitt at the piano. The concert is a light-hearted evening of songs and scenes from the Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas, presented in period costume and performed in traditional style.
