Few have achieved this a spectacularly as local artist Josie Barraclough, which follow 20 years as head of art at Bradford Grammar School. Josie’s own vibrant artworks, include landscapes and studies of flora and fauna. The paintings strongly combine, texture, colour, shape and form, whilst her experience in textile design are evident in her creative use of mixed media; her work may tell one story at a distance but also rewards close observation of the detailed components which are built up in layers.
