Family willow workshops, October half term 2025

Maximum 10 places, maximum 2 children per adult. to enable a really good learning experience. All tools and materials are supplied. Children must be accompanied by a parent or carer. Oakington Garden Centre, Cambridge CB24 3BD Willow weaving is a great way to learn about traditional techniques and natural materials. This 2 hour autumn workshop is designed for families to enjoy learning together to make bird feeders and flowers for the garden. Workshops are led by sculptor and weaver Jane Frost, she will take you through all the techniques necessary to make your piece and everyone will go home with a finished sculpture they can be proud of. Jane has more than 20 years’ experience, teaching all age groups with different needs and abilities. IMPORTANT INFORMATION: You will need to have a reasonable amount of strength in both your hands to be able to work with the willow.
