British National Ploughing Championships & Country Festival

Near Allesley, Coventry CV5 9DG This amazing, traditional, event is held in a different part of the country each year with over 250 ploughmen and women from throughout the country trying to plough the most perfect, straightest furrow. It’s not just ploughing though! It offers a rare glimpse of how farming has changed over the past 300 years – from 17 pairs of magnificent heavy horses and many styles of vintage tractors and equipment, to giant steam ploughing engines through to the most up-to-date farm machinery. With lots of trade stands, shopping and country crafts plus tractor & trailer rides, it’s a great day out for all the family!
