Walking with Pride: The Colours of History

Thu 16 Oct 25
11am - 5pm
FREE ENTRY
Chequer House Gallery 10-12 King Street, Kings Lynn PE30 1ES From 16 October, take part in an animated walk through the town and visit the accompanying exhibition at Chequer House Gallery. A treat for all the family this autumn half-term. Using augmented reality technology, this trail leads you along the King’s Lynn Pride route through town to seven key locations where you’ll meet characters, imagined and real, inspired by local heritage. As you explore, you’ll collect digital Pride Tokens — each one celebrating a moment, identity, or milestone that shines a light on the town’s LGBTQ+ past and present. You will be guided by an old friend of Collusion, Vinegar Tom, who some of you may remember from Kinema of Dreams! But this is more than just a game. It’s a celebration of youth creativity and collaboration. Alongside the trail, visit the exhibition at Chequer House Gallery that reveals the making of the project – from the first sparks of research to the final digital designs. Developed with local young creatives from our FUSE programme ages 16 30, this behind-the-scenes look showcases how imagination, history, and technology came together to create a new kind of storytelling experience for King’s Lynn. The exhibition is Free Entry and runs alongside 50 independent artists at Chequer House Gallery, Chequer House, 10-12 King Street, Kings Lynn, PE30 5PA. Open: Wednesday – Sunday, 11am-5pm. Well behaved dogs and children welcome. The exhibition room is accessible for wheelchair users and will include an audio description... READ MORE>
