Canzonetta at Christmas

St Mary’s Church, Chescombe Lane, Winterborne Whitechurch DT11 0AN Canzonetta’s annual Christmas concert is at the delightful church of St Mary’s in Winterborne Whitechurch this year. Come along to hear an hour of songs and carols by this celebrated ladies’ ensemble, singing in close harmony the delightful arrangements of music for ladies voices for this seasonal time of year. Some favourite songs? In Dulci Jubilo, The Shepherds Farewell, God rest ye merry gentlemen, the Twelve Days after Christmas and many more! 3pm. Admission free. Retiring collection for the church. Mulled wine and mince pies! This amazing ensemble of 9 singers celebrates 21 years presenting concerts in the lovely churches of East Dorset and the Isle of Purbeck. In those 21 years Canzonetta has raised more 30 thousand pounds for Dorset charities. A highlight has been a trip up to Salisbury and a concert in the Cathedral for Salisbury Hospice in 2019!...
