To mark the occasion, on Saturday 25th October, visitors to the centre are invited to join the Big Birthday Throwback, where they will be transported to the 90s – the decade when Lakeside officially opened - with a range of incredible festivities. Located on Level 1, outside Flying Tiger, visitors can enjoy a blast from the past with retro inspired activities including nostalgic DJ sets, roller-skates and, to truly bring disco to life, roaming performers wearing disco ball heads will parade through the centre, blasting classic tunes from booming speakers. Additionally, visitors will be delighted with surprise high-energy flashmob performances, featuring five different show stopping routines set to iconic 90s hits. From dancefloor anthems to sing-along pop classics, these performances will bring back all the throwback feels. And of course, no birthday is complete without presents! Visitors can take home memorabilia of their trip by enjoying mystery capsule toy dispensers loaded with incredible 90s style prizes. The centre is also offering multiple lucky winners the chance to win voucher prizes to spend in stores - just watch out for the gold prize envelopes around the centre and you could be in with the chance of securing a voucher up to the value of £50.
