Residents at Care UK’s Salisbury Manor, on Shapland Close, are rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck into some hands-on DIY – all in the name of sharing skills with the next generation. The home is hosting a morning of crafting and conversation at their ‘Pearl One, Knit One’ event, with the next session taking place on Monday 17th November from 10 am – 12 pm. Whether experienced knitters or complete beginners, those who join can enjoy the simple pleasure of knitting while sharing stories, tips and laughter. The event ties into Care UK’s Fixer Uppers initiative, which aims to revive traditional skills and celebrate the invaluable knowledge older generations can pass on while promoting sustainability.
