This certified Mountain Training Rock Skills Introduction course provides structured teaching to help you learn the core skills needed to climb outdoors. No previous experience is required, and the session is delivered in a supportive, hands-on environment. Throughout the day you will learn how to put on a harness correctly, tie in securely, belay safely, move confidently on rock and practise abseiling. You will also be introduced to climbing guidebooks, environmental ethics, crag etiquette and risk management – all essential for becoming an independent outdoor climber. Nick will guide you step-by-step, offering personalised feedback and plenty of practice time. You will also have the opportunity to meet other new climbers and develop your skills together in a relaxed, friendly setting.
