Our Lady of Victories Church, Halam Road, Southwell NG25 0AD If you have ever wondered 'are there any community choirs near me?' then the answer is firmly yes! The Southwell Rock Choir is led by singer/pianist Robyn Licata. The choir is for all ages and all the local Nottinghamshire branches of Rock Choir, like ours come together to do incredible events like Flash Mobs and also our numerous Guinness World Record attempts (the choir members have 3 world records!) and community events too like the local Nottinghamshire music and food festivals. You've probably heard us singing in and around Nottinghamshire, or seen one of our many TV appearances, and never thought you'd have to courage to get up on stage and sing! But the unique teaching methods at the Southwell Rock Choir, along with no need to audition or read music, mean that we are accessible to all. Come along and try us out for FREE at a taster session, and experience singing with your local 'exceptional' Rock Choir for yourself. Here is a quote about our choir - 'Being part of the choir has given me a wonderful opportunity to belong to a fantastic venture into the world of contemporary music and given me a new lease of life. Singing in the choir is a much better 'pick-me-up' than any anti-depressant tablet prescribed by a doctor. I come away after the weekly choir session with the best feeling ever and the companionship with fellow members is something money can't buy.' - Janet (Rock Choir member) Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon 'Big Heart' Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement...
