Andrea Tweedale soprano accompanied by Paul Turner piano will be performing at the Wyvern Theatre in Swindon on Wednesday January 21st at 1.05pm.

Tickets for adults are £9.50 (including a theatre levy of £1); students aged 15-18 £3.50; accompanied children aged 14 years and under are admitted free.
A transaction fee of up to £3.95 may apply, whether the transaction is for one or several tickets. Wyvern Theatre Theatre Square Swindon SN1 1QN Brahms spent the summer of 1886 at the idyllic lakeside town of Thun in Switzerland, a time that was so productive it is now called his ‘chamber music summer’. His work included five lieder (or songs) whose mood becomes increasingly sombre, starting with ‘Like melodies it steals softly through my mind’ and ‘My slumber grows more and more gentle’ via ‘Lament’ to ‘At the graveyard’ and finishing with ‘Betrayal’. A musical journey indeed. Strauss wrote his Four Last Songs in 1948 and they became his swan song as he died in 1949 aged 85.
