Boiler Room Six
Fri 17 Jul
7.30pm
£12.00 until 1st April and thereafter £17.00
Barn Theatre, 25 Bluehouse Lane, Oxted RH8 0AA
Witness the impossible true survival story of Stoker Frederick Barrett. Given the prestigious role of Lead Fireman in one of the boiler rooms on the Titanic on her maiden voyage, Barrett's journey began as countless had before. But, on the evening of April 14th Barrett’s boiler room suddenly rips apart and the freezing Atlantic crashes in. Escaping death three times, Barrett’s fight for survival is one of the most devastating accounts of Titanic's last few hours. Boiler Room Six gives a voice to the sacrifice of the men working below deck, who kept the ship afloat for as long as possible, saving hundreds of lives, whilst knowingly giving up their own. The production joins the Barn Theatre on 17th July as part of a national tour, following a sold out Edinburgh Fringe run. A spectacular piece of theatre - British Theatre Guide Historical theatre done right - The Independent A tour de force - The Spy in the stalls Tickets costing £12.00 until 1st April and thereafter £17.00 are available from www.barntheatreoxted.co.uk...
